Operational Area:


The Bank’s  operational area is spread across Guntur, East Godavari and West Godavari Districts, which are  located in the rich costal belt of Andhra Pradesh. The soils in these districts  are very fertile due to the Rivers Krishna and Godavari  respectively.             

Guntur  district is bounded on the North by Krishna  River, on the south by Prakasam  district, on the west by Mahaboob Nagar district and on the east by Krishna  district and Bay of Bengal.              

The total  geographical area of the district is 11,328.23 sq Kms, consisting of 57 Mandals  and 729 Revenue villages. The total population of the district as per 2001  census is 44.65 lakhs.              

The important  rivers and river lets in the district are River Krishna and river lets  Naguleru, Chandravanka and Gundlakamma. Predominant crops grown in the district  are Paddy, Cotton, Chillies and tobacco etc.            

West Godavari  district is bounded by River Godavari on the East, Khammam district on the west  and north, and Krishna district and Bay of Bengal  on the south.             

The total  Geographical area of the district is 7,796 sq. Kms divided into 46 mandals and  887 Revenue villages. The total population of the district as per 2001 census  is 38.04 lakhs.            

Godavari  is the important river with its branches Gowthami Godavari and Vasista Godavari  irrigates 85% of the cultivated land in the district. Paddy is the main crop  followed by Sugarcane, Tobacco and Chillies etc.            

East Godavari  district is bounded on the North by Visakhapatnam  district and the state of Orissa, on the east by Bay of Bengal, on the south  and on the West by West Godavari and Khammam  districts.              

The total  Geographical area of the district is 10,818 sq.kms consisting of 1,348  villages. The total population of the district as per 2001 census is 41.01.  lakhs.
